Cardi B and Offset reveal their names and share the first photos of their September-born son
Cardi B and Offset are riding the right wave.
More than seven months after his birth, the hip-hop power couple revealed the name of their second child to their nearly 147 million combined followers and shared the first public photos showing his face.
Offset, 30, took the opportunity to reveal, in capital letters, the first name of their 7-month-old baby: Wave Set Cephus.
Proud mom Cardi B, 29, opted for a more visual message, using three emojis to officially welcome their little one into a world of shares, likes and retweets: a dinosaur, a surf and a teddy bear.
On Twitter, the “WAP” artist shared a short video of what appears to be Wave’s first bespoke piece of jewelry: a diamond-encrusted wave with the baby’s name.
“When Set suggested Wave I was sold! THAT MUST BE HIS NAME!” she wrote.
Wave, who was born on September 4, is the couple’s second child. Her big sister, Kulture Kiari Cephus, was born on July 10, 2018.
Offset, real name Kiari Kendrell Cephus, later shared a series of family photos on Instagram from a cover shoot for Essence.
The photos, taken for the cover of the magazine’s May/June 2022 issue, show the couple posing with Wave and Kulture, as well as Offset’s children from previous relationships.
