Central Nebraska Sports Complex changes name
GRAND ISLAND, Neb. (PRESS RELEASE) – Central Nebraska Sports Complex is thrilled to announce 10-year naming rights sponsorship for the new complex. Thanks to a generous investment from Pinnacle Bank and the Dinsdale family, the youth sports facility will be named Pinnacle Bank Sports Complex.
In addition to the unprecedented economic growth for Grand Island and surrounding areas expected as a result of this development, Pinnacle Bank also sees the new Central Nebraska Sports Complex as an opportunity to add value for the community.
“Youth sports are a way of life for so many Nebraskans and their families,” said Sid Dinsdale, president of Pinnacle Bank. “Many of us have grown up playing and have passed on the love of the game to our children. Sport has truly become a cornerstone of our lives and our communities. Pinnacle Bank is proud to help provide convenient access to this type of state-of-the-art facility to athletes in Greater Nebraska.
Plans for the site include multi-purpose sports fields, batting cages and additional space for community events and meetings. The sports facility will be equipped with “fan-centric” amenities, including ample parking and plenty of spectator seating.
The resort will be overseen by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit board of directors and then managed by an independent board with a full-time management team. The facility will be located near Interstate 80, leveraging current retail development with the potential pipeline for future growth in the retail, entertainment and hospitality sectors.
“The power of partnership allows us to pursue our goal of building an elite sports complex that empowers young people to grow as athletes and people,” said Tino Martinez, Chairman of the Board of Central Nebraska Sports Complex. “Pinnacle Bank is a strong and committed partner to our facility and we are proud to announce this phase of our partnership.”
