Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden celebrates her birthday in Stockholm
Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden looked cheerful today during celebrations to mark her name day.
The occasion marked the first full return to celebrations since 2019, after the event was canceled in 2020 and scaled back in 2021 due to the Covid pandemic.
According to Swedish tradition, different names are associated with certain dates, and that of Crown Princess Victoria is celebrated on March 12.
The Swedish heiress to the throne, 44, was joined by her husband Prince Daniel, 48, and their children Princess Estelle, 10, and Prince Oscar, 6, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm.

As in pre-pandemic times, the day was marked by a series of celebrations, with the arrangements revealed in a post on the court’s official website.
According to the post, the festivities opened at 10:45 a.m., when the southern vault opened onto the inner courtyard. This was followed by the Army Band Corps, Honor Guard and K 3 Main Guard marching through the inner courtyard.
At 11:45 a.m., the Army Music Corps performed a tribute concert, which was followed at noon by an Army Music Corps music program.
The Crown Princess then received flowers and congratulations from representatives of the Swedish Armed Forces.

The Crown Princess and her husband were seen leaning in to chat with six-year-old Prince Oscar, who sometimes looked nervous during the appearance.
The family were caught cheering during the event, which included a military parade and a concert by the Army Music Corps.
Crown Princess Victoria stepped out in a chic all-grey ensemble, donning a knee-length wrap coat, gray gloves and a scarf. Her hair was swept back in her signature smart bun and her makeup was natural.
Her husband, Prince Daniel, completed the look with his own stylish outfit including a gray coat and scarf, over a dark suit. The children also matched in their gray clothes.
The appearance follows rumors – which have been publicly and forcefully denied by the couple – that they are facing marital struggles.
Late last month, Crown Princess Victoria and her husband Prince Daniel – whom she met in the mid-2000s at the fitness center he ran before joining the royal family – strongly denied the “unfounded” divorce rumors via an Instagram post.
The day’s events – the first full celebration since 2019 – included marches and music, performed by the country’s military personnel

While six-year-old Prince Oscar sometimes looked nervous during the event, his sister Princess Estelle (pictured, left), who recently turned 10, was seen beaming and waving to the crowd .
The royal couple took to the social media platform over the weekend to ‘protect their family’ and make it clear ‘once and for all’ that the rumors are not true.
They shared an image and wrote, “We have learned that there is a huge negative rumor regarding our private relationship.
“Allegations are spreading about betrayal in the relationship and an impending divorce.
“In normal cases, we do not comment on rumors and speculations. But in order to protect our family, we want to make it clear, once and for all, that the rumors that are spreading now are completely unfounded.
A few weeks ago, the communication manager of the Swedish royal house, Margareta Thorgren, had already denied the rumors in a press release.

Speaking to Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet on February 19, she said the palace would normally not comment on such matters, but the rumors had been “tenacious” enough to have an impact on the royal family.
“It’s exceptional, and we’ve never encountered this before,” Thorgren said.
Swedish royal journalist Jenny Alexandersson wrote for Aftonbladet: “Believe me, we did a solid journalistic job. If there had been a divorce, we would have reported it.
Another publication, Expressen, claimed they were told the couple would file for divorce at Solna District Court, but they said that information turned out to be incorrect.
Margareta Thorgren said the rumors originated from a “frivolous” publication believed to be the tabloid Stoppa Pressarna (Stop the Press in English) and that Swedish mainstream media verified the allegations after they were widely reported in line.
