Marumani returns as Zimbabwe squad for Afghanistan T20Is

Opening striker Tadiwanashe Marumani has been recalled to Zimbabwe’s 15-man squad for the three-game T20I home series against Afghanistan, starting June 11.
Marumani last played for Scotland in September 2021. He wasn’t in Zimbabwe’s squad for the series against Namibia earlier this year and hasn’t featured in the Afghan ODIs either.
The 20-year-old has played 11 T20Is so far and scored 118 points and is the only new face on the roster.
Zimbabwe kept the rest of their squad from Afghan ODIs except for striker Takudzwanashe Kaitano and fast bowler Tanaka Chivanga.
The T20Is will serve as part of Zimbabwe’s preparation for the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Qualifier B, which will contribute to their qualification for the main tournament later this year.
